Combination Treatments

A group of people holding a puzzle

At Takeda, we are dedicated to putting patients first, collaborating with healthcare systems, regulatory bodies, and patient communities to enhance access to innovative treatments. Combination treatments, particularly in areas like cancer and HIV, offer significant clinical benefits by targeting multiple disease pathways simultaneously. However, these treatments face cost-effectiveness barriers.

In response, Takeda, with input from experts, have developed several whitepapers and support pieces to highlight the issues and barriers, and potential ways in which to solve the challenge.

We seek feedback to refine this solution and ensure patients benefit from combination treatments as quickly as possible.

Lay Summary

Not everyone is a health economic expert, therefore we have created materials to describe our proposal in terms we hope are accessible for all.

Partnered work

Takeda is a proud partner of the This is Blood Cancer Programme, spearheaded by Blood Cancer UK and ITN Productions, which explores the work being done to provide clinical trials, improve treatments and raise awareness of blood cancer in the UK. Takeda’s contribution to this programme brings to life the combination treatment access challenge, often faced by blood cancer medicines, and Takeda’s proposed solution. You can watch the film below, which is anchored by ITN Productions presenter Simon Thomas.
